DELVE INTO THE INTERACTIONS BETWEEN THE VIRTUAL SOFTWARE AND ROBOTICS HARDWARE
EXPLORE the fundamentals of coding and robotics. In this workshop, you will learn various programming concepts, interpret it and create programs to interact with the robot hardware. Through a series of programming activities using MBlock (Scratch-based block programming software), find out more about electronic hardware using MBot, both from MakeBlock.
Course Outline:
- Introduction to programming software, robotics hardware and the interaction
- Mblock programming: conditionals, operational, variables, logical operators
- Robotics hardware: Microcontroller, sensors, LEDs, buzzers
- Coding projects: game controller with computer and robot hardware
- Project presentation and demonstration
Platform : MakeBlock mBOT robot
Programming : Scratch-based Block programming
Hardware and software requirements:
- 1 Windows laptop (Windows 7 or later) OR Mac (OS X 10.8 or later) and the charger.
- mBlock Software (Version 3.2, http://www.mblock.cc/download/ )
- Please ensure the computer account used allows for the installation of additional software/driver when required.
